Dark Tranquillity es una banda de Death metal melódico de Suecia, mas exactamente conocido como Gothenburg Metal, subestilo del Death Metal que se caracteriza por su mayor contenido melodico en sus lineas de guitarra, así como en la introduccion de teclados.Poseen una extensa carrera desde 1989 hasta nuestros días donde han sido nominados a diversos premios, entre ellos el grammy por su album "Projector". Están íntimamente ligados a la historia de otro grande del death: In Flames ya que unos de los miembros de Dark Tranquillity escribió las líricas de 2 álbumes de In Flames, "Whoracle" y "The Jester Race".

Amon Amarth es una banda de death metal melódico de temática vikinga que procede de la ciudad de Tumba, en Suecia. Fue formada en 1992 y su nombre significa "Monte del Destino" en Sindarin (una de las lenguas de la Tierra Media creada por J. R. R Tolkien).
